F# Book Rumors

Ted said it, so I don't have to. Thanks :)

Yeah we're doing a book together, F# In A Nutshell for O'Reilly. I may disappear from the social scene for the rest of the summer in order to meet the deadline. Please don't forget about me. I'll miss you all very much. I will of course still be attending/speaking at all of the conferences I have already signed up for (list to be posted in a later blog).

Thank You Microsoft!

Microsoft has become our first sponsor of the devLink Bus! Please remember to thank your Microsoft Evangelists, let them know just how much we appreciate all that they do for us!

Special thanks to Brian Prince for making the sponsorship happen!

devLink Bus Route

As most of you have already heard, there is going to be a bus going from Grand Rapids Michigan all the way down to the devLink Technical Conference in Tennessee and making plenty of stops along the way. It will be a great opportunity to do an extremely long road trip with some of your geek friends. There will be plenty of experts on the bus, who you can corner and ask all of those questions that have been bothering you.

Get to know your local user group leaders and see what they are up to when they aren't making the development community work. Ask Ted Neward why Perl is the best language ever and Scala is a waste of time. Let Chris Woodruff know if you think Deep Fried Bytes, bites or if it rocks! How would Jeff McWherter optimize your web app? I've heard he doesn't like ORMs? What are those Microsoft Evangelists up to and how can they help make your life easier? Can they give you free stuff? What kind of methodology wars can we start with that kind of time? How many annoying questions will it take to make one of our favorite experts snap?! Want to find out? I'll be posting more information on how you can get on the bus and who you will be spending the weekend with.

We are currently working to get sponsors so that the trip will be extremely inexpensive for everyone. The exact cost, and registration will be ready soon. Get the word out to all of your geek friends.

What route will the bus take? Where can you get on? While we are not sure of the exact locations of pickups, we do plan on stopping at all of the major cities along this route. Stay tuned for more information - coming very soon!
